Symplex® Metal Restorer, Oxidized Surfaces Polish.
Symplex® Metal Restorer is an advanced, professional-grade polishing compound engineered for the demanding needs of automotive and industrial detailing professionals. Its sophisticated formula combines fine abrasives with specialized chemical cleaners to safely and effectively cut through years of neglect, environmental exposure, and surface degradation on a wide spectrum of metals and select hard surfaces.
This versatile polish meticulously removes heavy oxidation, stubborn tarnish, light-to-moderate rust, pitting, water spots, chalking, lime deposits, and other blemishes that dull metal surfaces. It works diligently to level minor surface imperfections, revealing the true character and brilliance of the underlying metal.
Designed for flexibility, it delivers outstanding results whether applied carefully by hand for intricate areas or efficiently with machine polishers for larger surfaces. Ideal for bringing weathered metal trim, wheels, fixtures, and components back to a like-new or better-than-new condition.
2. Key Features & Benefits
- Superior Restoration Power: Aggressively removes heavy oxidation, tarnish, surface rust, pitting, and staining that standard polishes cannot handle. Brings severely neglected metal surfaces back to life.
- Multi-Metal Versatility: Expertly formulated for exceptional results on bare aluminum, chrome (plated & solid), stainless steel, copper, brass, silver, and other polishable metals without requiring multiple products.
- Produces Brilliant, Mirror-Like Shine: Refines metal surfaces to achieve maximum clarity, depth, and reflectivity for a true show-quality finish.
- Efficient Cleaning & Polishing: Combines powerful cleaning agents with controlled abrasives [Optional: Add specific type like 'diminishing abrasives' if applicable] to clean and polish in a single step, saving time and effort.
- Removes Surface Imperfections: Effectively diminishes the appearance of minor scratches, swirls, and blemishes often found on weathered metal.
- User-Friendly Application: Works effectively via hand or machine (rotary or dual-action polisher), catering to user preference and job requirements. Spread easily and wipe off cleanly with minimal dusting.
- Extended Surface Compatibility: Also effective for restoring heavily oxidized Corian® surfaces and can be used for aggressive correction on oxidized gel coat (testing recommended).
Recommended Applications:
- Automotive: Chrome trim & bumpers, polished aluminum wheels, stainless steel exhausts, brass & copper components.
- Marine: Stainless steel fittings, aluminum T-tops & towers, brass & bronze fixtures.
- Motorcycle: Chrome pipes & trim, polished aluminum engine parts.
- Household: Stainless steel sinks & appliances, copper cookware, brass fixtures, silver items.
- Other: Corian® countertops, tooling, industrial equipment.

4. Directions for Use
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and cool to the touch. Wash away loose dirt and debris.
- Shake Well: Shake the container thoroughly before use.
- Test Spot: Always test the product on an inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility and desired results.
- Hand Application:
- Apply a small amount of Symplex® Metal Restorer onto a clean microfiber cloth or applicator pad.
- Rub the product onto the metal surface using firm pressure and overlapping motions. Focus on heavily oxidized or stained areas.
- As the product works, residue will turn black, indicating oxidation removal.
- Continue rubbing until the desired level of polish is achieved.
- Using a separate, clean microfiber towel, buff the surface to a high shine, removing all residue.
- Machine Application (Dual Action or Rotary Polisher):
- Apply 3-4 small drops of product directly onto the appropriate cutting/polishing pad (e.g., wool, microfiber, or foam polishing pad). Alternatively, apply a small amount directly to the surface.
- Spread the product over a small section (e.g., 2' x 2') with the machine off.
- Set the polisher to a low-to-medium speed setting (e.g., 1000-1500 RPM for rotary, speed 3-4 for DA).
- Work the product using moderate pressure and overlapping passes until oxidation is removed and gloss develops.
- Reduce pressure for the final passes to refine the finish.
- Wipe off residue immediately with a clean microfiber towel and buff to a brilliant shine. Do not allow the product to dry completely on the surface.
