Intended Use & Applications

  • Primary Use: Final finishing step after compounding to remove light imperfections and maximize gloss on automotive paint.

  • Surfaces: All fresh (fully gassed-out) and fully cured automotive paint systems, including single-stage, clear coats, lacquers, and modern ceramic clear coats.

Directions for Use

  1. Preparation: Ensure surface is clean, dry, and cool to the touch. Work in a controlled environment away from airborne contaminants. Shake bottle well before use.

  2. Pad Selection: For optimal results, use a soft foam finishing or finessing pad. Ensure pad is clean before starting.

  3. Application: Apply 3-4 pea-sized drops of Micro SHR directly onto the pad.

    • For Rotary Polisher:

      • Set machine speed between 600 - 1200 RPM.

      • Spread the product over a 2' x 2' section with the machine off.

      • Begin working with light to moderate pressure in overlapping passes, keeping the pad flat against the surface.

      • As the product becomes transparent, reduce pressure for a final burnishing pass.

    • For Dual-Action (DA) Polisher:

      • Set machine speed between 3 - 5 (e.g., 3800 - 4800 OPM).

      • Spread the product over a 2' x 2' section on a low-speed setting.

      • Increase speed and work in a cross-hatch pattern with light, consistent pressure.

      • Allow the abrasives to fully break down for a flawless finish.

  4. Wipe-Off: Remove residue immediately with a clean, paint-safe microfiber towel.
