Symplex® Lattice - High Density Structural Coating
SYMPLEX LATTICE™ represents the zenith of surface protection engineering. It is a solvent-based, high-solid system utilizing advanced Interpenetrating Polymer Network (IPN) Proprietary Symplex® Technology.
Unlike conventional ceramic coatings that rely on a linear chain, LATTICE™ synthesizes two distinct chemical networks that cure simultaneously to form a Hyper-Dense Structural Stratum:
- The Inorganic Silicate: A rigid, thermally stable grid formed by (MQ) Resins. This creates the "skeleton" of the coating, providing extreme hardness, thermal resistance, and UV stability.
- The Oleophobic Organic Matrix: A flexible, low-surface-energy web derived from Trifunctional Reactive Polymers. This matrix permeates the lattice, providing impact resistance, extreme slickness, and chemical impermeability.
This Hybrid Organo-Architecture creates a covalent bond with the substrate that is physically harder than automotive clear coat, yet retains the elastomeric flexibility required to withstand thermal expansion without micro-cracking.
2. KEY PERFORMANCE FEATURES
Hyper-Hydrophobic Surface Tension
Engineered with a proprietary Low Surface Energy Matrix, IPN-LATTICE™ creates a contact angle exceeding 115°. The surface tension is so low that water cannot anchor to the substrate.
- Lotus Effect: Water encapsulates dirt particles and rolls off instantly.
- Low Sliding Angle (<10°): Water sheets off the vehicle at low speeds, minimizing water spotting and mineral deposits.
Broad-Spectrum Chemical Resistance (pH 2 – pH 13)
The density of the IPN-Lattice creates an impermeable barrier against environmental and industrial contaminants.
- Acid Resistance: Neutralizes the etching effect of acidic bird droppings and acid rain.
- Alkaline Stability: The coating will not strip or degrade when exposed to high-pH Traffic Film Removers (TFRs) or aggressive degreasers, offering superior longevity compared to standard SiO2 coatings.
"Zero-Fight" Rheology (Ease of Use)
Traditional high-solid coatings are often "grabby" or difficult to buff. LATTICE™ features Reactive Leveling Agents that lubricate the application process.
- Self-Leveling: The product spreads evenly across the panel, reducing the risk of high spots.
- Lubricated Wipe-Off: The carrier system allows for a stress-free removal, even in humid conditions. No dragging, no sticking, no hazing.
Reactive Gloss Enhancement
The formulation utilizes In-Situ Condensation Polymerization. As the coating cures, the Reactive Silanol components condense on the surface to increase optical clarity, darkening the paint and providing a "liquid glass" aesthetic.
